Toys and “Sharing”

Well we avoided the whole litterbox treats-for-the-dog issue by putting the litter box on top of the fridge. Not ideal, but since the cat stays up high most of the time, I figured it’d be best to keep it available. ;)

But the problem: kitty toys + big dog = problems! Our dog, admittedly, likes to chew. And he prefers anything BUT his toys… his rope toys, squeaky toys, bones, kongs, balls…. nope, they’re all laying about and he grabs my towel, or a pillow, or… the cat’s toys.

So the cat’s favorite toy, a big rattly mouse, has lost a tail and looks, well, slobbery, a new little soft catnip toy had a wing and a bunch of fuzzies ripped off it, and the featherduster, well, let’s just say I walked into the living room an hour after bringing it home and found the living room floor covered in feathers. ;) The annoying part is that I was putting them where I thought Zeeke couldn’t reach them. Hmmm, need new hiding place.
